No, because they are a part of reality. In a game on a server that is intended to be a fictional world with its own canon, it does not fit and breaks immersion of it. It would be like someone in a text RP about Middle Earth making their character say "lol butthurt get /fit" or something.

I know what you are saying. I haven't had that happen to me yet but I know it will. These things always end up as popularity contests.
